Here is a motion time-lapse we did in Abu Dhabi's Al Maryah Island. A motion time-lapse, or hyper-lapse, is a time-lapse that involves moving the camera along a fixed distance. It's a difficult task, and we're glad to say we pulled it off! It involves moving the tripod one foot at a time, while manually adjusting exposure to the changing light.
This time-lapse was shot using the Canon 1D-C and a 24-105 f4 L lens and rendered using Adobe After Effects. It took three hours to shoot, a walking distance of 300 meters ,and approximately 1000 still photos.
