Over the next few weeks, the jetset crew of Shutter Republic will be travelling across the beautiful islands of the Philippines to film for Liter of Light and internet celebrity/influencer Jerome Jarre.

Liter of Light is a Philippines-based NGO that provides sustainable solar lighting to underprivileged communities around the world. From its beginnings in Manila with founder Illac Diaz, it is now a global movement present in over 20 countries including Brazil, France, Colombia, Italy, Pakistan, the Dominican Republic and Mexico. It was the winner of the Zayed Future Energy Prize 2015.

We have just arrived in the breathtaking island of Palawan. Known as the "final frontier", it is where limestone and jungle meet the West Philippine Sea, and the first stop in our multi-island journey around the Philippines.
